ERC celebrates world International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement day

05 Apr 2017 The Egyptian Red Crescent organized a ceremony for the world day of the Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement in the presence of Ronald Ofteringer, head of the ICRC delegation in Cairo, Rashad Abdel Latif, President of the Arab organization for Human Development, Essam El Adawy, a representative of the Ministry of Social Solidarity and Prof. Moamena Kamel Secretary General of ERC.
The guests spoke about the activities of the organizations they represent and the role these organizations play in the development of society.
The participants watched documentary films about the origin of the International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement as well as the various activities of ERC volunteers. During the day, five workshops were organized which discussed many topics such as the origin of the International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement, its role in activating Voluntary work, problems affecting social peace in society, and the role of the social worker in tackling problems that threaten social peace.
Prof. Moamena Kamel gave the ERC armor to the guests of the day as well as to some of the Voluntary work figures in the Egyptian Red Crescent.
