Honoring the team work of provide humanitarian services to migrants project in Egypt (AMiRA)

Highlights from Day Two of the closing workshop of (Action for Migrants: Route-based approach – AMiRA) attended by the project team from the project staff and ERC’s Egyptian and non-Egyptian volunteers. 
During the workshop activities, the team brainstormed and presented recommendations on how to improve and upscale the services that were provided by the project for migrant and refugee communities from Yemen and African nationalities in Greater Cairo, in fields of:
- Primary Health care, Secondary Health Care and medical referrals 
- Psychosocial support, especially for mothers and adolescents
- Health Promotion and #CBHFA activities, especially since the start of #COVID-19 Pandemic
- Response to the social protection needs for migrants and refugees during COVID-19 Pandemic 
- Role of Partnership with other actors
- Sustainability of outcomes through collection and analysis of information
The session was concluded with a presentation by Dr. Alaa Salah, in which she provided an overview of all the project outputs. the presentation summed up to more than 11,000 beneficiaries from Yemen and African nationalities, notablythose who were stranded in Egypt due to COVID-19.
Yesterday afternoon, the closing ceremony was headed by Dr. Ramy El Nazer (CEO) and Dr. Talal Maarouf (Head of Programmes and Projects Department at the Egyptian Red Crescent. Certificates were handed as a token of appreciation to the volunteers and the project staff. The thanks and gratitude were extended to the rest of ERC headquarters’ team for their support and contribution to the project.
