Launch of the "In Your Hands, You Can Save a Life" Initiative in Youth Centers
Under the patronage of Mrs. Entissar El-Sisi, spouse of the President of the Republic, Dr. Maya Morsy, Minister of Social Solidarity and Vice Chairperson of the Egyptian Red Crescent, in the presence of Dr. Ashraf Sobhy, Minister of Youth and Sports, launched the Egyptian Red Crescent's initiative, *"In Your Hands, You Can Save a Life."* The initiative, implemented in collaboration with the Ministry of Social Solidarity and the Ministry of Youth and Sports, was inaugurated at a ceremony held at the Gezira Youth Center.
The initiative aims to raise awareness of first aid practices among members of volunteer clubs, the "Beautiful" Girl and Women Club, and scout teams in youth centers.
During the ceremony, a documentary film highlighting the history of first aid in the Egyptian Red Crescent was screened, followed by a simulation demonstrating the provision of first aid for common sports injuries.
This initiative builds on the success of the *"In Your Hands, You Can Save a Life"* initiative launched by the Egyptian Red Crescent in collaboration with the Ministry of Social Solidarity in October last year. Under the patronage of Mrs. Entissar El-Sisi, this earlier campaign focused on training community pioneers in first aid. These community pioneers serve as key agents of positive change in societal awareness and behavior due to their ability to influence members of their communities. The initiative has yielded significant and fruitful results in this regard.
Dr. Maya Morsy extended her heartfelt gratitude to the First Lady for her support of the *"In Your Hands, You Can Save a Life"* initiative and its expansion to include youth centers and sports clubs alongside community pioneers.
